Celebrating Joy & Janelle: A Cap & Gown Session to Remember

This certainly has been one heck of a rainy season in Southwest Florida, but after several reschedules, we finally snuck in this super fun Cap & Gown session with our 2024 Senior Reps, Joy & Janelle!

Both seniors were ecstatic about graduating and stepping into the next chapter of their lives in college. We had an amazing time commemorating their senior year with this session! For our location, we chose the picturesque row of palm trees near The Luminary Hotel in the Downtown Fort Myers River District. Joy and Janelle loved the spot, from the iconic palm trees to the unique geometric sidewalk.

We incorporated some unique poses that we don't typically get to do in a regular senior session. The seniors showed off their cap and gowns with their backs to the camera, and of course, we captured the celebratory cap toss!

Toward the end of the session, we took some heartwarming shots of Joy and Janelle together. Not only are they senior reps, but they’re also best friends! These photos truly captured the essence of their friendship and their excitement for the future.

Did you know that a standard senior session with Erica Basile Photography lasts 90 minutes to two hours? It's perfectly normal and encouraged to have your best friend join in for part of the session.
